NY&Co Closet: my 3rd box

This was my 3rd box and only wore 1 out of the 3 items. This seems like a pattern. If you read my other blogs on this subscription you know this is the 3rd time that 1:3 item were wearable. Here were the issues:

The floral top was too tight around my biceps. It was a pretty blouse but not comfortable.

The black dress was too big around the hips and the butt. Not flattering at all.

The only top I enjoyed was the chambray top. It was much like the white top I bought from them in the last box. I considered buying the first top but it was $16. If it was $11 like the white top I was would have totally kept it.

I wore this top with my AG ripped jeans I recently got from Trunk Club. I paired it with some neon green Havainas and I wore my rented tassel earrings that I got from Rocksbox and I matched my Pat McGrath lipstick with. I felt especially cute that day. I got a lot of compliments on the whole ensemble. I ended up wearing it to a client dinner at Nick's in Manhattan Beach where I shared some fish tacos and fries with one of my clients.

This is what I looked like. I think my glasses make me look smart.

I'm committed to trying out 6 boxes but I have a feeling that I may keep it for longer. I keep seeing staple pieces in the collection for very affordable prices. I am trying to build a capsule wardrobe and get rid of more of my closet as we speak.
