Here is what I wore the 2nd week of January from RentTheRunway: a DVF black wrap dress, an Andrew Marc coat, an Equiptment leopard print blouse and a Badgley Mischka red dress. I really enjoy rented clothes from RTR because it gives me the ability to have access to a high-end/designer closet at the fraction of the cost. Its like old school Netflix but for clothes. AND I don't have to pay for or pick up my dry cleaning!!! I mean- it quite less anyways. I'm saving money and time. Who doesn't want more money and more time!? Plus I've been able to downsize my closet that I can actually fit all my clothes and shoes in the same closet as my husband. And its not a walk-in closet! All my clothes in one shared closet!!!

I wore the red dress on Tuesday which was my first official day back in the territory. I saw a few of my top clients that day. I met one of them for coffee at Starbucks and we tried the new protein egg option- it was tasty! I also took one of my favorite clients out to lunch at Alcapulco. It was his birthday so we surprised him with birthday flan and the servers sang to him. I ate all the flan even though it was supposed to be for my client. I am so addicted to sugar right now- I need to detox from sugar...

I wore the leopard print blouse on Wednesday. I was in DTLA and I knew I would have to walk a few blocks for some appointments so I planned on wearing flats because my old lady feet are not loving wearing heels every day. Had some great meeting and met some clients out for lunch at this great Ramen place called 3rd generation. So good! I also met another client for happy hour that evening. I decided to be dry till Super Bowl so I had a Mexican Coke at the Ace Hotel. She had a Moscow Mule. I was jealous.

On Thursday I wore my own dress (boring- I know) with a rented coat. It was cold and rainy that day so I was glad that I rented this coat because I don't own anymore coats in my physical closet anymore. Well, I do but they are more causal or for skiing and not appropriate for work. That day was more client meeting and taking one to Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ. I opted for the salmon even though I wanted ribs. Damn to dieting! I just want to eat chips and chocolate and be skinny...

Friday was the black wrap dress. I actually own this dress myself in other colors and patterns (I have owned at least 10 in my lifetime) but I decided to rent this because I knew my size in it and I knew that it would be work appropriate. I'm a big fan of Diane Von Furstenberg- I haven't met a dress of hers I didn't love. I just saw clients that day- no lunches or drinks. It was still a good work day.

Not every piece I get from RTR will fit and/or I will wear. Sometimes there are rips or have stains and and I will send it back right away but before I do I will always notify customer service to let them know via email, chat on the app or by phone. Either way I contact them, they are always pleasant and always accommodating.  When this happens they usually request for me to sent the article back right away and ask me to pick a new piece that they will send out in the mean time. RTR customer service really knows how to take care of their clientele.

Here is an example of something I did not wear. It is a Waverly Coat. It fit great and it was warm but the lining on the inside was torn on both of the sides were the hips were. I just felt that I did not want to wear it that way. So I took a few selfies to document the garment and called customer service and let them know of the defect in the coat. I sent it back the day I got it. Just dropped it off at the UPS store. Yes I am wearing my PJ's and heels. I just got home and I wanted to get comfy so I slipped on my night shirt and I put back on my heels just for the pic- my legs look better in heels and that's why I did that.

I love RTR. There branding is excellent. They truly make the renting experience an fun and exciting one. They make their members always feel very special. Included in my rentals was a small New Years gift: a necklace with a little gold key and it says "...We gave you the key to our closet. Cheers to unlocking excitement, adventure and possibilities in 2017."
